Chaise Lounges - Now You Can Relax in Your Own Resort

Who doesn't daydream about relaxing poolside or on the beach in a chaise lounge while sipping on a cold fruity drink? Well by purchasing a few chaise lounges you can make this dream a reality in your own backyard.

Plastic Chair Protector

Sure you can shop at your local home and garden stores when lawn furniture is in season or shop online from the comfort of home and browse the largest selection of chaise lounges at the most reasonable prices.

Plastic Chair Protector

Crafted from teak wood these chaise lounges offer superior quality and unparalleled luxury. Teak is the best wood for outdoor furniture. Grown in the forests of Indonesia this extremely resilient wood has long been prized by ship and bridge builders. Its natural oils help make it resistant to water, rot and insects making it virtually impervious to the effects of the sun, rain or snow. You can leave your teak chaise lounges outside all year through and their beauty will remain. In fact teak is so durable you'll be able to enjoy your lounge chairs for fifty years or more. That is not something you can say about plastic ones.

Teak's natural state is a warm honey brown color which you can maintain by annually applying teak protector. If you prefer to let it go it will fade to a handsome silvery gray patina. Once it has fades it can be brought back to its original color by scrubbing it with a teak cleaner and then applying the teak protector. With proper care you can enjoy your teak patio furniture for many years. So why not get started recreating your favorite resort in St. Tropez today?

You'll enjoy relaxing in the warm summer sun on chaise lounges built for one or two and outfitted with plush and colorful two to four inch thick Sunbrella cushions. Or maybe you prefer the sleek and modern look of a teak, stainless steel and durable batyline fabric. Available in black or white you'll be living your dream life lounging on one of these beauties.

Able to adjust to 3 or four positions including flat you'll always find your comfort zone when you rest on one of these lounges. But you must not forget to add a small table next to your lounger to hold your icy drink and your book or magazine. Some lounges come with swing out tables to hold your drinks but for most you will need a separate table alongside one or in between two.

Once you have your backyard retreat set up the way you want it with inviting chaise lounges by the pool or in the right spot for morning sun and afternoon sun you can relax in the luxury of your own private resort. No longer will you have to deal with the hassle of navigating an airport and long, crowded flights. Instead you'll just make the short and pleasant journey out your back door and into your personal oasis. There the drinks are always flowing and there is always a chaise lounge or two available to soak up the summer sun.

How to Change a Broken BlackBerry Screen

I did a big search all over trying to find how to change a BlackBerry screen without ruining the BlackBerry device itself. Yes, my BlackBerry 8330 fell from my desk, hit the wheel of my chair and cracked the screen! Nothing like a "CrackedBerry!" I was ticked... Anyhow...I couldn't find any good instructions, so I thought I'd post what I found to work because...I figured out how to fix it without one single scratch on the outside of my BlackBerry. Yea! But don't blame me if you scratch yours...I take no responsibility for it. Just take your time when you do it.:) If you dropped your BlackBerry and cracked the screen, do not worry, you can fix it. A broken BlackBerry screen can be fixed by you! First of all, you need to find the BlackBerry screen which fits your device. I got mine from Cellular Nationwide Network. You can Google it. Make sure your BlackBerry model is used for the search on this site!

Plastic Chair Protector

I ordered my parts on Thursday April, 22th and I received them on Wednesday April 28. Not bad, the parts even came from China too! I paid around for the new BlackBerry screen and I purchased a cool blue trackball and blue chrome outside ring for around . Shipping and Handling was a flat . So for , that was perfect for me. When I received the shipment, the parts were safe in a small thick box which was protected by an envelope with bubble wrap. All the contents were safe inside the box and arrived as ordered. I was stoked about how quickly the order came! The screen had the protecting tape on both sides so it was in perfect condition, plus the double sided tape which exactly fit the outside of the screen to secure down the new BlackBerry screen was included! I couldn't believe it, the screen even had the BlackBerry logo on it! SWEET!

Plastic Chair Protector

OK, here is the "How to change a broken BlackBerry screen" instructions. Hardware and necessary items:

1. Small flathead screwdriver - the really small ones. The one I used was about 1/16" wide, but long enough to fit in your hand comfortably.

2. A sharp Xacto knife that has a pointed end.

3. A 3" x 3" piece of paper cut in 5 equal pieces and each folded in half.

4. The double sided adhesive tape which comes with the new BlackBerry screen. Be careful with this because you'll need to remove all the pre-cut holes and the sides are very thin...you don't want to tear it.

5. Can of AIR. You don't want any dust inside before putting on the new screen.

6. A very soft cotton cloth (NO PAPER PRODUCT! It'll scratch it!) which will not scratch the surface of the BlackBerry screen or the BlackBerry LCD screen. You'll use this to make sure there are no nasty fingerprints on the screen or accidentally on the LCD screen before putting on the new screen.

Ok, now you are ready to remove and replace the broken or cracked BlackBerry screen.

1. The trick to removing it without totally screwing up the nice edges around the screen is by breaking off the silver piece at the top of the screen. Use the screwdriver against the bad screen to very carefully break off the silver piece. I stuck the screwdriver in the ear slot about 1/2 millimeter and twisted and broke the silver piece off.

2. Get the folded piece of paper. That is going to protect your outside edges of your BlackBerry when using the screwdriver to pry up the screen.

a. I edged the folded piece of paper under the screen where the silver piece was and used the tip of the screwdriver to pry up the edge of the screen by twisting the screwdriver. Don't push down on the screwdriver to lift the screen, it'll ruin your BlackBerry's edges next to the screen.

b. Then I slid the piece of paper over to either side which was giving away the easiest along with the screwdriver and twisted again. I followed that pattern carefully until the top was loosened from the stickiness from the manufacturer.

c. Then work down the sides...you can use other pieces of paper to hold up the screen so the work you have done doesn't have to be redone again. By the time you get the sides loosened the area around the keys and trackball will not have to be touched...it should lift right up. At this point, your screen should be off!'

3. It's time to make sure the new BlackBerry screen fits, so take off the clear plastic protectors from each side of the new screen and make sure there is no debris where the new screen will go. Shoot it with some air - Don't blow on it, you'll probably spit on the LCD screen. Some of you will do that. Oh, well, your choice.

4. Once you know it fits, it's time to put the double sided tape onto the BlackBerry first...Do NOT put the tape on the BlackBerry screen. This is tedious to make sure it is placed correctly with all the cut-outs are properly in-line with the unit and the tape is not on the LCD screen. Once it is down, it's not secure, you can move it slightly and once it's in the right place...use and Xacto knife or the edge of the screwdriver to make sure the tape is firmly pressed on the BlackBerry.

5. Now comes another the tricky part...Putting the BlackBerry Screen on.

a. Make sure the LCD and the BlackBerry are free of fingerprints and dust! Use good lighting and angle the pieces to see if there are any to be removed. If there are fingerprints, I used hot, moist air by opening my mouth and breathing on it, then using the soft cloth to remove it. Then I used the Air to blow off any dust particles. Recheck the BlackBerry screen and recheck the LCD when completed. Fingerprint and Dust Free.

b. If it's "Good-to-Go" then remove the adhesive covering on the double sided tape which is already in place. This was difficult for me...I had to use the Xacto knife to lift off the adhesive covering. The tape is very thin, so you'll need to make sure and get all the paper. It'll come off and you'll be left with seeing the clear adhesive to place the screen onto.

c. Now carefully place the BlackBerry Screen onto the adhesive. I started on the left side by lining up the screen with the edge of the unit, eye-ing where the screen sits near the keys and top of the BlackBerry. All the while, being careful to not to get fingerprints under the screen.

6. Well, you should've successfully completed changing your broken BlackBerry Screen with scratching up or ruining your phone and it should be as good as new!

Congratulations!

Brad H.

Recommended Gear For the Beginner to Intermediate Umpire

A "working" umpire lives out of his vehicle during the season. Consequently it is important to have the necessary tools and equipment in your vehicle so you can perform your job. Here is what I keep in my bag and in my vehicle:

Plastic Chair Protector

1. Briefcase - I have an old hardshell briefcase that I keep in my vehicle that contains pens, paper, association cards, illegal bat lists, and RULE BOOKS.

Plastic Chair Protector

2. Shirts and Pants - Instead of worrying about keeping up with uniform for the day, I keep all my (clean and laundered) shirts and pants hanging in my vehicle throughout the week. I use a suit bag to keep my clothing clean. While shirt colors differ with associations, I generally carry red, navy, light blue, and black. Some of my shirts have velcro patches to accommodate the different associations. My shirts and pants are Honig's. I have been very pleased with Honig's quality.

3. Hats - this is personal preference. I carry three navy hats: an eight stitch fitted Richardson cap for the field and I rotate two six stitch fitted Richardson caps for behind the plate. I keep my hats in hat caddies. I also have different association hats that I carry.

4. Equipment bag. I use an hockey bag. Its big and stores all of my gear. It also has two side compartments for shoes, etc.

5. Shoes - I carry New Balance 450 plate shoes. They are comfortable and light. I also wear black New Balance shoes in the field.

6. Socks - I use Thorlo's Plate Shoe Socks. They have extra padding and absorb sweat. I have never had an issue with my feet and swear by these socks.

7. Belt - I carry two black leather belts.

8. Ball bag - I wear one ball bag when I umpire, but I carry a spare with me. Each ball bag has a cheap 4 wheel indicator, plate brush, and lineup holder.

9. Shoe shine kit - Black shoe polish and a brush.

10. Small sewing kit - a couple bucks from Walmart for emergencies (they arise more often than you'd think!)

11. Lawn chair - most amateur fields do not have a room for umpires. A lawn chair and piece of carpet to stand on makes life much easier when you have to change from your vehicle.

12. Cooler - I like to stock a small cooler with ice, soda, and water.

13. Bat ring - for softball I like to have a bat ring available.

14. Leatherman tool - pliers, screwdriver, etc. for emergency repairs.

15. Sunglasses - go cheap!

16. Mask - I like the traditional mask. I use Diamond DFM-UMP. Although lately I have been considering a hockey style mask.

17. Chest protector - I use a Wilson West Vest Platinum.

18. Shin guards - I use Diamond shin guards, but I am convinced that I could strap just about any hard plastic to my legs and be ok.

19. Date book - to check availability. I pick up a lot of games at the ball field from other umpires, assigners, UICs, school administrators, coaches, etc.

20. Extra shoelaces.

21. Extra shin guard strap.

22. Timer - most youth games have a time limit. the bigger the display, the better. And make sure it has a clip to hang from the fence and an alarm loud enough to be heard from the plate.

23. First aid kit - a small first aid kit with pain reliever, bandages, etc.

24. Sun block

25. Bug spray

26. A comb and deoderant.

27. Undershirts - Under Armour makes fantastic undershirts (Heat Gear and Cold Gear). Spend the extra money and buy these shirts. A long sleeve Cold Gear shirt is good for under your jacket.

28. Change of underwear - trust me, change your underwear and feel refreshed.

29. Plate jacket - I like the tuck-in style.

30. Gloves - sometimes it gets cold.

31. Hood - sometimes it gets really cold. I have a black Under Armour hood.

32. Tape measure - coaches love to question distance.

33. Disposable camera.

How is Laminate Flooring Made and How Do I Protect My New Laminate Floor?

How is Laminate flooring made and how do I protect my new Laminate floor?

Plastic Chair Protector

Laminate flooring has grown by leaps and bounds in a very short period of time. The reason behind the rapid laminate wood flooring growth is the ease of installing laminate flooring. This wood flooring system is a floating floor that has a laminate flooring underlayment on which the laminate floor lays over top of. Another benefit to having a laminate floor system is the durability of the floor. Laminate flooring manufacturers are using new technologies to create a very dense fiber wood core with a very durable top plastic coating.

Plastic Chair Protector

Constructions of laminate floors

There are basically two types of laminate floor constructions. You have the direct pressure laminate and the high pressure laminate. The two different styles vary in the way they are attached to the core. The direct pressure process is a one step process where they fuse all the layers directly to the core all at the same time by using melamine resins and pressure and heat they are impregnated and together to form a very durable laminate plank flooring. The other high pressure laminate flooring is a two layer process. The first is that the craft paper style sheets will be glued together and using a print film, which is then glued to the core. Here everything is glued together and using high pressure they become very hard and durable.

What is available for Laminate flooring?

The laminate wood flooring is almost invincible to spills, stains, burns and a very high tolerance to scratches. Laminate flooring prices have such a wide range but can offer you just about any replicas of any wood species that you would desire. They will come in a few different varieties such as the single strip, two strips or even the three strips with micro beveled edges, square edges or just beveled edges. Depending on the quality you are looking for the top finishes and treatments will vary the price of the laminate wood flooring. Because these floors can imitate just about any flooring on the market, your choices for texture and looks give you an abundance of choices such as traditional stone, ceramic tiles and beautiful hardwood.

Caring for your Laminate floor

Laminate flooring is stain and fade along with scratch resistant and with a few preventive maintenance ways you can have your floor last a very long time. First you must follow the laminate flooring manufacturer's limitations and by keeping their recommendations in consideration you will have a floor that will last forever.

Your Maintenance and laminate wood flooring care

· Place designer mats in front of stoves and sinks along with all the room entrances

· Always have felt protectors under the feet of furniture

· Use chair coasters that are clean and working properly will help

· One of the biggest things you can do is to try and follow the laminate floor manufacturers recommendations for room temperature and what they recommend for humidity levels

Maintaining laminate flooring

Laminate flooring is very durable and not that hard to keep clean. All you have to do is regularly sweep or vacuum with a soft brush. Damp mop the laminate wood floor using a bit of ammonia or vinegar and water being careful not to flood the work panels as you can damage them this way. Some products that are not recommended for your laminate floor are soaps, scouring powder, floor polish or steel wool as these may damage the laminate wood flooring. Always test a product that you are unsure of in a low visible area. If you have to remove a stain use the recommended laminate floor cleaner and mop up to keep any water from entering the joints. Also make sure you use a damp mop and not a wet one.

The Teen-Girl Zone - Tools to Organize Teenage Girls' Rooms

So, you have bravely decided to roam where more faint-hearted mothers dare not: The Teen-Girl Zone, a.k.a. your daughter's room! You want to help your teenage girls get organized, but you're not sure where to start. Well, as a professional organizer and mother of four teenage girls, I have a few tools to help you get your teenage girls get organized.

Plastic Chair Protector

Let me encourage you by reminding you that learning any skill takes repetition, reward and coaching. I also have a small word of warning-if you have a rocky relationship with your teenage girl, this could become a bit of a power struggle. You don't want to come between her clutter and emotions. May I suggest that you do a little research and determine what "organizational type" your daughter is. Organizing for Your Brain Type, by Lana Nakone is a valuable resource that will help you decide whether your teenage girl is a people person, innovator, maintainer or prioritizer. Knowing how she needs to organize may reduce your struggles in the Teen-Girl Zone! What is the most fun schedule to get organized? Get in the Zone!

Plastic Chair Protector

In the Zone

When you help a teenage girl organize her space, start with a few questions:

1. What do you love about your room?
2. What do you dislike about your room?
3. What things are in the right place that you definitely don't want to move?
4. What do you do in your room? (Sleep, dress, read, homework, etc.)
5. Do you like the color and general arrangement of your room?

Knowing the answers to these questions helps get you in the zone and guides the organizational process, helping you see how you can avoid struggle. These questions also give you an opportunity to uncover possible areas for incentive. Would your daughter enjoy new bedding or painting her room? Perhaps you can offer those as rewards to her when she has organized her room and maintained it for one month.

Prepared with the right information, you will have success in the zone.

Zoning

To a local government, zoning means determining how an area is to be used or developed-that's the kind of zoning you are going to help your teenage girl with. You know what zoning means to the average teenager! It's your job to help your teenage girl use these organizing tools to transform teenage zoning to space-use zoning.

Zone One-The Sleep Zone

It may seem obvious, but your daughter will be sleeping in the sleep zone, which includes the area immediately around your daughter's bed. You should ask her what she needs to get a good night's sleep. Make a list of those items and make sure that those items are in her sleep zone.

Some items to consider in the sleep zone are: the bed, pillows, blankets, an alarm clock, and nightstand. Depending on your daughter's habits, she may need a good lamp on her nightstand for reading; reading material; tissues; a water glass; paper and pencil; and chap stick. If there is no room for a nightstand, consider providing your daughter with a basket that can hold the things she needs that can be stowed under the bed or on a nearby shelf. A floor lamp or a lamp that can be clamped to her headboard may be good alternatives for lighting.

Here's a tip that can instantly make your daughter's room look orderly: have her make her bed every day. If this is a habit she has never developed, you could offer to buy her new bedding if she consistently makes it every day for a set period of them - one month is usually long enough to establish a new habit.

The last area to work on in the sleep zone is the space under the bed. Pull every thing out that may be lurking there. Sort through what needs to be kept in the sleep zone, what needs to be stored elsewhere, and what can be thrown away. My girls store bulky items like sleeping bags, overnight bags, and folding chairs under the bed.

Zone Two-The Clothes Zone

The Clothes Zone will probably take the most time of any zone in your teen girl's room to organize. Make sure you have time to complete this project in one session; it could take up to three hours to organize, depending on how many clothes your teen has. You will need storage boxes or bags and cleaning supplies.

I have created a process to help you get your teenage girl's clothes organized. Here are my seven steps to Clothes Zone Heaven!

Step One: Take all of her clothes out of her closet and dresser drawers and create categorized piles.

Pile 1-This season's clothes, shoes and accessories that you are wearing now. Keep only clothes that fit and that you like and use.

Pile 2-Out-of-season clothes, shoes and accessories that you are sure will fit next year and that you like and will continue to use/wear.

Pile 3-All clothes, shoes and accessories that are too small, you don't like, are stained or are beyond repair. (Bag up items to pass on to a sibling or friend. Or, you may want to take usable items to a consignment store or charity. Throw away everything that's in unusable condition!)

Step Two: Take out all games, memorabilia, toys and stuff. Decide what you will keep and what can be given away. Anything in poor repair or missing pieces should be thrown away.

Step Three: Clean the closets and drawers thoroughly while they are empty. Wipe down walls and shelves, and then vacuum the floor and cobwebs along the ceiling.

Step Four: Place this season's clothes, shoes and accessories back into the closet or dresser drawers. Hang or fold all clothes neatly. Make sure that jackets are buttoned or zipped. Group clothes by category: pants; shirts; skirts; and dresses together. Hang belts on hooks or hangers. Consider a shoe organizer, if your teen-girl has lots of shoes.

Step Five: Place off-season clothes, shoes and accessories in a clear plastic bin and store under the bed or in the attic. If your closet is big enough, you may store your office season clothes and other items in the back of your closet.

Step Six: Place all games, toys and memorabilia back in your closet on a shelf or easy to see place. If memorabilia is worth keeping, it is worth keeping well, so make sure that your teen has an appropriately sized box to store all items neatly. You will also want to take this time to help your daughter consider what items are truly worth saving and which things she might let go.

Step Seven: Now that all of your teen-girl's clothing and other belongings are neatly organized you can easily see what items she may need. Make a list and plan to purchase and replace needed items.

Now that you have completed the seven steps to Clothes Zone Heaven all your teen girl needs to do is maintain the new order. I have found that it goes well when my daughters take a few moments each week to make sure that they are keeping things stored properly. Remind your daughter to give you items that they try on and no longer fit or that become stained or otherwise un-wearable. Dealing with items as they fall out of use is easier than working through an entire closet. Also, encourage her to immediately put clothes away that she decides not to wear. It takes seconds to hang up one outfit. It can take 15 minutes or more to sort through and put away a pile of clothes!

Finally, you will want to make plans to revisit the Clothes Zone each season to repeat all seven steps.

Zone Three-The Study Zone

Zone Three is really a matter of preference. You need to consider where your daughter usually does her homework. If she most often does her homework in her room, not the kitchen table or sitting in the bonus room, then she needs a homework zone established in her room.

If she prefers sitting at desk, then have her sit down at her desk and think through all the supplies that she needs while she is working there. Ask her what she uses every day or weekly. When I am working with a client, I give items that receive regular use what I call prime real estate. Anything not related to the tasks your daughter does sitting at the desk, do not get to stay there. Keepsakes and memorabilia must be "containerized" and stored elsewhere. If your daughter prefers to work sitting on her bed or the floor, maybe all she needs is a basket of supplies that she can pull out when she is working. Next, make sure her Homework Zone is well lighted and that she has a comfortable chair.

You will also want to make sure that this zone is well supplied, include: a calendar, clear sheet protectors, notebooks, note pads, as well as pencils and pens with a carrying case.

Zoned Out

Now that you have worked through the three main zones of your daughter's room, you will almost always have items that don't fit into any of the zones. You may place these in a bin and go through them to consider whether you will keep them. Here's the test. Ask whether the item is used daily or weekly. If it is used that often, then it can stay.

With memorabilia and other items left, ask:

- Do you want to display the item-- Should the item be stored or placed in a container to keep it in good condition-- Do you want to place the item in a scrapbook or photo album-- Is there someone with whom you can share the item-

With collections ask:

- On a scale from one to ten, how much do you love this collection-- Do you need the entire collection or just a few favorites-- If the collection is important to you, are you keeping it well and where it can be enjoyed-If you both decide that a collection will be kept, assign it a shelf or container. When the space is full, attempt to purge the collection to make room for new items.

A final word of encouragement-if your daughter (or you!) struggle to let things go, try storing an item for six months. Agree that the item will be given or thrown away, if your daughter has not asked for it during that time. Remember this is a life skill! If your daughter learns to manage her possessions now, she will have less stress and be equipped to manage her own home some day.
